TRADED 07/2022! I was a much younger man the last time I had one of these in my hands! As a matter of fact, it was during the heyday of The Bass Palace in the late 2000's when I still had my physical store. Anyway, these are super-hard to find these days and the early ones like this are the most desirable. Made in France and featuring a flame maple body and a matching 2-piece neck through the body. There are 2 graphite reinforcing rods inlaid into the back of the neck providing stiffness and extra sustain while adding a cool look to the design. The transparent violet finish appears to be nitro and there is hardly any evidence of player wear on the bass.

Two special-design soapbar pickups and an 18-volt preamp with volume, pan and a master tone control. What sets this bass apart is the 6-way voicing switch and a micro switch that gives you 6 more for a total of 12 different settings! It's an active tone modeling system that was a decade ahead of its time. The phenolic fretboard has 22 frets and the bass has a great ergonomic design for max playing comfort. The bridge is a totally unique design with high mass, easy adjustments and is machined rather than cast. The strings are strung through the body and rest within a massive sustain block that features inserts designed to increase the contact area of the ball end strings. This is a rare and well thought out design and all this hi-tech weighs just 9 lbs. Comes in a Pro-Tec lite-flite case that is not original but protects the bass well.
